In
this site we include articles and research reviews related to more
general forensic issues such as evidence preservation, collection

Carter-Snell,
C. & Soltys, K. (2005).
Forensic ultraviolet lights in clinical practice: Evidence for the
evidence. The Canadian Journal of Police & Security
Services, 3(2), 79-85.
In
this article, we reviewed the research on different types of lights
and their sensitivity/specificity to various secretions. The difference
between an ultraviolet light and an alternate light source were
reviewed. The results of a pilot study are then presented in which
we compared the ability to see different secretions on skin rather
than fabric.
