UPCOMING CONFERENCES

Free Webinar: Forensic Injury Assessment-Taking a BALD STEP Forward (Sept 8, 2010- 11 am EST)

The Forensic Nurses' Society of Canada will be offering a free webinar on forensic injury assessment on Wed September 8, 2010 at 11 EST. In this session the issues surrounding injury terminology and identification will be discussed. The new injury mnemonic known as BALD STEP is being added to the RCMP sexual assault kits to aid in comprehensive assessment and documentation. This mnemonic is useful for any trauma situation. The BALD STEP components will be described along with ideas for how to easily integrate it into raumagrams and assessment documentation. Registration is free.

Participants can access this free webinar (approx 45 min) on Sept 8th. You can pre-register for the webinar by downloading this Adobe file - once the form is opened, just complete the form and click "submit by email" . It will be automatically forwarded and a response will be sent to you with instructions as to how to join the webinar.
